Global Graphics company Meteor Inkjet – which works with inkjet printhead manufacturers like Fujifilm Dimatix, Konica Minolta, Kyocera, Ricoh, Seiko Instruments, Toshiba TEC and Xaar – has launched a new family of DropWatcher turnkey systems for evaluating and optimising printhead and ink combinations.
Driven by a Windows 10 PC, Meteor DropWatchers incorporate interchangeable printhead mounts, printhead drive electronics and intuitive software with the Meteor user interface, and are said to support all major industrial inkjet printheads from the companies listed above.
“Ink manufacturers and print system developers will now benefit from a cost-efficient way to visualise and measure drops in flight while adjusting printhead waveform parameters in real time,” said Matthew Pullen, Meteor’s product manager for DropWatching systems.
Meteor Inkjet has also extended its software portfolio with the integration of the Harlequin Host Renderer to provide seamless, high-speed printing of a wide variety of native file types including PDF and PostScript. It has also integrated ScreenPro, the high-speed screening engine developed by Global Graphics Software.
