BASF is increasing the price for pigments, dyes and preparations by up to 15% worldwide. The price increase – effective immediately, or as contracts allow – will affect all market segments, predominantly the printing, coatings and plastics industries.
The company – which recently announced price hikes of 3 – 10% in the EMEA region for UV resins (Laromer product range) – said the price adjustments are necessary due to higher raw material prices eg. for pre-cursers of pigments and dyes, as well as increased costs for regulatory efforts like registration, environmental, health and safety.
