MSI Signs moves to Rathnew to centralise operations

MSI Signs, a provider of brand signage solutions, is moving its operations and 35 staff from Newtownmountkennedy to part of the newly re-furbished old Harris Calorific site in Rathnew, Co Wicklow, during April.
The company’s new premises has been re-designed to accommodate its multiple activities and production requirements which comprise five separate entities.

The five departments, Site Services, encompassing installation, logistics, and information transfer, Vinyl and Direct Print which houses large-format print, Light Engineering such as welding, fabricating and assembly of steel, aluminium and acrylic items relating to the sign industry, CNC Routing, Stores and administration will all now be located at the new site. The move to centralise these separate operations within one unit is designed to provide the company with far greater control of its overall business and internal communications.

MSI Signs specialises in design, print, manufacture, and installation for large corporate blue chip companies in the retail, Petrochemical and high street food industries. Manaing director Nick Quirke said: “We needed a new facility because at present the company is too thinly spread between five units. Our Vinyl and Direct Print section runs a Fujifilm Acuity flatbed wide-format UV digital printer designed to deliver high quality rigid and flexible point-of-purchase signage as well as three Mimaki solvent printers, a JV-33, JV-5 and a JV-3. We also have two 48in Graphtec sign vinyl cutters. This in-house digital printing facility allied to our other services has allowed MSI to provide a complete service to clients.”
