    Mutoh VerteLith takes workflow award

Mutoh’s VerteLith Rip has clinched the EDP award for ‘workflow technologies’.

The software is built around the Harlequin host renderer for fast Rip processing times for both PDF and PostScript files. It integrates halftone screening technology specifically developed for inkjet, called Clear Tone, a Mutoh proprietary technology for producing the best possible gradients and skin tones.

VerteLith includes preview functionality for soft proofing and on-screen Rip previewing of the actual printed dots before printing. It can also auto-generate white and/or varnish layers based on a selection of presets allowing the user to perform the ink-cost calculation prior to printing.
