National Sign shows off personal touch
The National Sign Company has completed a most unusual and eye catching job in the Omni Shopping Centre, Dublin for well known Cosgrave’s Butchers. It consisted of a spayed/bevelled, illuminated lightbox entrance with matching indoor wall mounted graphics.
Based in Rathcoole, County Dublin, the company has become a major supplier of sign and display solutions to household names such as Smyths Toys, O2, Pepsi, Subway, Fiat, O’Callaghan Hotel Group, D.I.D Electrical, Supermac’s Family Restaurants, Londis and many more. This eye catching piece of work is down to The National Sign Company’s managing director Ronnie Brannigan’s philosophy of always offering his clients that “personal touch”.
Brannigan said: “The entrance signage is cut in at an angle rather than just a straight box around the shop front to draw customers into the unit. From the outside of the premises to the inside the depth of the box measures 800mm wide x 600mm deep x 3m high and 4.5m long. Basically it’s a fabricated aluminium lightbox with internal fluorescent illumination. A clear acrylic was used with a reverse printed graphic laminated to the clear which gives it nice ‘glass’ sheen on the front.”
The graphics were printed on one of the company’s two HP Designjet 9000 64 inch low-solvent printers designed for printing outdoor signs, banners, booth graphics, textiles, vehicle wraps, billboards and more.
“The company deals primarily with the corporate retail sector as well as with one off jobs which are specified by architects and interior designers such as the one in the Omni Centre,” added Brannigan. “But the corporate retail sector is a huge section of this companies business which includes both exterior and interior signage. For example The National Sign Company looks after all of Londis shopfront signage and internal branding. Also these days a significant amount of work comes in via “recommendations” which I think is down to offering clients that “personal touch!”
