Smurfit Kappa has brought out 100% recyclable and FSC accredited Digiflute corrugated sheet board for flatbed digital printing. The company said that issues experienced on digital printers – such as mottling and burnishing (particularly prevalent in designs showing high levels of cyan) – should be alleviated with Digiflute due to a clay coated print surface that enables quicker drying time.
Digiflute – available in flute profiles E, B, EB and EE – is suitable for both generic and specialist inks, including water-based. The substrate is accredited by HP for use on the FB15500 and FB17000.
