Fespa has announced two competitions set to take place on site at the inaugural WrapFest at Silverstone racing circuit on 26-27 April 2023.
Visitors are being invited to test and show off their vinyl wrapping skills and share knowledge with other professionals in the vinyl wrapping, paint protection and car customisation industries via ‘Show and Shine’ and ‘Wrap Warrior Battle’ competitions.
The Show and Shine competition will take place on each day of the show in the ‘WrapFest Festival Forecourt’. For the competition visitors are being asked to take along their customised wrapped vehicles to be judged on creativity, overall look and technique. There will be two categories – the Judges Choice Award, decided upon by the World Wrap Masters judging panel, and the People’s Choice Award, decided by visitors. The winners will receive trophies to commemorate the achievements.
Hosted by WrapFest training partner, The Wrap Institute, the ‘Wrap Warrior Battle’ will give visitors of all wrapping abilities the chance to have a go at three contests – ‘Bing Bing Plate’ testing dexterity, ‘Chance of Clouds’ challenging the light-handed knife skills of an installer, and ‘Wrap the Dots’ taxing wrappers on their tape abilities.
WrapFest visitors will also have the chance to watch up to 24 expert wrappers learn new skills and meet fellow vinyl installers in the UK and Ireland regional leg of the World Wrap Masters competition. The competition will see professional entrants battle it out during a series of technical challenges to gain a place in the World Wrap Masters Final, which will take place at Fespa Global in Munich in May for the title Global World Wrap Master Champion.
