Xaar has introduced the 501 GS8 printhead that incorporates PrecisionPlus, a new architecture from the company which said it will enable signage printers to remain at the leading edge of print performance.
This new printhead can print in binary mode at up to 1440dpi with an 8pl drop size or with 4 grey levels at 360dpi to deliver high productivity with an effective resolution of over 600dpi. It is compatible with a range of solvent and UV inks. OEMs can also choose TF technology which reduces sedimentation when using heavily pigmented inks such as white, extends maintenance cycles and improves reliability.
