229 colours have been added to the Pantone Matching System (PMS). The new range includes mixed hues and five base inks.
The additions make more than 2,350 colours available across all of Pantone’s Graphic System products, including its flagship Formula Guide, Color Bridge, Solid Chips, Solid Guide Set, Reference Library, Portable Guide Set, Essentials Set, and Solid Color Set.
Pantone said the addition of the new colours highlights the increased request for more nuanced shades to help designers easily integrate with their evolving workflow. It said its latest colour guides are the most stable and consistent printed colours, matching the master standard digital data with all-new and updated cross-referenced data for closer parity between physical and digital formats. Designers can access all PMS colours in real-time through the digital application Pantone Connect.
