Newcastle-based Photoline, which provides same day small and large-format digital print, has achieved ISO 14001.
MD Peter McGrady pointed out that while ISO 14001 is currently the most popular standard within the print industry, a study carried out across the sector in Europe revealed that 40.5% of print companies found implementing the certification too costly and time consuming, 27% saw no need in the certification whatsoever and 31% saw it as unnecessary because of no customer demand.
But McGrady said: “We are very proud to have achieved ISO 14001; we use certifications and accreditations to ensure that we stay at the very top of our industry.”
