Picon’s Bettine Pellant enrolled as Stationers’ Company Liveryman

Bettine Pellant, Picon, has become a Liveryman of the Stationers’ Company.  She was formally enrolled at a traditional ‘clothing’ ceremony held in Stationers’ Hall in the City of London.

Pellant joined the Stationers’ Company as a Freeman in July 2011.  With her admission as a Liveryman she becomes one of 550 Liverymen of the Company, which dates back to the Guild of Stationers founded in 1403.  Membership of the Stationers’ Company today embraces the complete range of industries in the communications and content sectors of the economy, including print, paper, publishing, office products, newspapers, broadcasting and online media.

“I am delighted to be enrolled as a Liveryman, and very proud too,” said Pellant. “Like the printing industry itself, the Stationers’ Company is steeped in history yet has always been able to adapt to changing technology.  I look forward to playing an active role in the Company’s activities.  I am particularly interested in helping with marketing and communications.”

Picon is an industry trade association for manufacturers and suppliers to the printing, papermaking and paper converting sectors.  Pellant joined Picon in 2007 and is part of the executive team managing the association’s national and international activities.
