Print and Display, one of Ireland’s leading sign and display companies, has installed a HP Scitex XP2750 3.2m wide printer to expand its digital production capacity at its headquarters in Tallaght, Dublin 24.
P&D is a European supplier of screen, digital and litho solutions for outdoor posters, bus advertising, PVC banners and POP with production facilities located both in Dublin and Warsaw, Poland. Ronan Conway, managing director, said the company is trying to stay optimistic in difficult trading conditions and that the new installation is part of this process.

“We are prepared for another tough year a head,” he said. “The rational behind purchasing the HP Scitex XP2750 was that up to now all of our very wide digital format printing has been run on a relatively old 5m Vutec. We needed a new machine which would give us the ability to produce high quality wide-format print both on solid substrates as well as on the roll. In particular we will be looking at using the printer for corrugated POS, Corrie board panels and a certain amount of C Bond aluminium signage as well. In essence we wanted to lift our quality level up in this area and, although it’s not necessarily going to open up new markets for us, it certainly will increase our turnaround and quality output.
