Print Solutions gears up for new market opportunities in 2011
Print Solutions has taken a decision to expand its own brand Cost Cutters range of products for the Irish display market in 2011 through new sales channels particularly via shop fit-out companies and with the revamp in Q1 of its web site and sales catalogue.
Ian Scouler, director, explained: “The shopfitter generally gets 95% of any fit-out whereas the signmaker only gets a minimum. The products that are used typically include lightboxes, wind masters, snap frames, and Print Solutions wants to expand its offering here to include LED lighting and also to introduce some genuine shop fitting products such as basket display units to create new market opportunities. However, the message to the judicial signmaker is that this company will always bring better value product to market but not at the expense of quality. Composite aluminium for example is now sourced in South East Asia and not Europe because the European price point just does not stand up and also because the Asian alternative is now fit for purpose and is perfectly acceptable.”
Print Solutions also plans to expand its range of digital vinyls, laminates and introduce a new range of films specifically for roll up display units and pop ups in Q1 2011 primarily because South East Asia is now beginning to develop good quality polymeric grade vinyl which will compliment the branded range the companies sells.
“There is new types of POP units coming onto the market, queuing systems, and shelf schemes which Print Solutions do not have presently,” continued Scouler. “The model for selling this is going to be improved early next year by a number of new methods. The first will involve a separate brochure of Cost Cutting products from the main branded catalogue. Secondly the web site will be a fully integrated one back ended to an account system which will in essence be a buying website where customers can have a personalised account.”
