The 2014 PrintIt! schools competition finalists have been selected. The winners will be announced at a PrintIt! awards ceremony at the Xerox Innovation Centre on the 26 June.
Over 3,000 students this year registered for the programme, which has been teaching youngsters about the print and paper industries since 2005, with over 140,000 pupils and nearly 2000 schools taking part in the programme to date.
The scheme asked students to create a print focused project including promotional materials to promote Fairtrade Foundation products on sale in supermarkets. Following a round of internal judging, a round of external judging with a group of industry experts took place at BPIF head office on 24 April, leading to the finalists’ selection.
At the awards ceremony on 26 June, the youngsters who entered the competition will have the chance to tour the innovation centre.
