Realt Paper expands its large format portfolio

Realt Paper, one of Ireland’s leading independent paper merchants and part of the larger AIMS Group, has broadened its large-format portfolio with the introduction of two new substrates ranges: Magnecote, a unique magnetic paper; and a metallic range of lustre and gloss papers from Mitsubishi. The addition of these new product ranges is designed to strengthen Realt Papers presence in the specialist and photo end of the indoor large-format print sector.
“Magnecote is the first magnetic paper in the world,” said Aidan Parker, marketing director of Realt Paper. “It was scientifically designed by combining premium coated papers with a proprietary magnetic coating which prints like a paper but acts like a magnetic. The LFP grade, Ink Jet Gloss 305 mic delivers high quality printing and finishing capabilities, with excellent colour reproduction, superior ink adhesion and a long shelf life. By putting a magnet and paper together it has created a new media. It will open up endless marketing possibilities for Realt’s customers who can now deliver advertising solutions on to most metal surfaces such as large fridges, shelves, cash registers, vending machines. In particular it’s ideal for short run applications in the retail sector.”
The second new product range which has also been introduced is a range of metallic photo papers from Mitsubishi under the company’s brand name, Paper Life.
“These two new grades, IL2576, a lustre paper and IG2577 which has a gloss finish are aimed at the high end photographic and graphic arts sectors of the market,” continued Parker.
