Roland DG has launched two new printer series – the VersaUV LEC2 S-Series of UV flatbed printers and the VersaUV LEC2 roll-to-roll printer/cutter range.
Comprising four flatbed models, the S-Series is available in 30in and 64in widths, and in three length configurations (F200, F300 or F400), with a printable height of 230mm.The VersaUV LEC2 roll-to-roll printer/cutter range comprises the 30in wide LEC2-330 and 64in wide LEC2-640
All the VersaUV LEC2 models are equipped with new EUV5 ink – said to delver around a 25% reduction in the cost of ink when compared to the previous generation – alongside new printable primer ink and further safety enhancements.
All models are available in several ink configurations, including double CMYK, or CMYK with primer, gloss and white. Adjustable intensity UV-LED lamps mean creative finishes such as glitter and foil applications can be accomplished using a secondary process.
Optional accessories, like the TB-30 tension bar and ET-30 extension table, are also available for the LEC2-330 to allow for printing onto challenging materials, as well as contour-cut labels and full-build cardboard packaging prototypes.
