Signwest lights up the west
Signwest has once again highlighted its claim to be one of the most innovative signage companies in the west of Ireland after being commissioned by Shannon Business Centre to design and produce external signage for its centre in Kiltimagh, Co. Mayo. The project which entailed both directional and a large business sign for the client highlighted Signwest’s design and production capability.
Managing director Declan Foley, said: “What makes Signwest stand apart from similar signage companies is that it is backed by a full service graphic design agency (www.designwest.ie) with qualified graphic designers and award winning ones at that. This means that the signage is not only skilfully produced and fitted but visually it will always stand out from the competition whether its vehicle graphics right through to external signage.
“The directional signage for Shannon Business Centre was made from aluminium and has removable panels which come in different widths depending on the length of the name. The business name letters were applied with cut vinyl lettering and the top panel with the company name is a printed vinyl. The main business logo for this client however is a prime example of a sign that has been created by qualified graphic designers as opposed to perhaps someone who has been taught how to use visual design packages and is not qualified. The end result is a very striking sign which has attracted a lot of attention for Shannon Business Centre. The sign itself is approx three metres high and is lit internally using LEDs which light up the main part of business logo, the letter ‘S’, at night. The letters for the business names were stencil cut illuminated acrylic. The sign itself is a combination of aluminium steel and plastic. The signage is very impressive and a testament to both our creative design ability and production techniques.”
