swissQprint’s Nyala flatbed printer and its neon inks for UV printing have scooped EDP awards.
The Nyala 4 won the ‘Best flatbed/hybrid printer <250m2/hr’ category and the neon inks the ‘Consumables/UV inks’ category.
The jury said: “The fourth-generation Nyala builds on the existing foundation while offering some serious improvements … Its environmentally friendly values are another reason why it can be considered a benchmark in large format printing.”
The Nyala 4 has a maximum resolution of 1,350dpi, with an output up to 206m2/hr’.
Of the neon yellow and pink inks, the jury said: “The first fluorescent UV-curable inks for inkjet digital printing … as well as introducing glow into advertising technology, they also deliver clear added value.”
