Team Atlantic, which completed the London to Brighton bike ride challenge on Sunday 16 June 2019 to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation, is looking to further boost donations.
The Atlantic sponsored team comprised five team members led by Atlantic’s technical services director, Stafford Cox (centre in the picture). The team, which had no experienced riders at the start, trained regularly over the months to complete the 54-mile journey. During the training one of the riders, Darren Harding, had a fall and ended up in hospital with a fractured ankle and shattered wrist, but despite the set-back and the atrocious conditions with torrential rain for over 40 miles, he was still part of the team that rode and finished the event.
