Trimwel to offer 3M Scotchcal Clear View Graphic Film 8150
Trimwel has now added 3M’s new digital vinyl – 3M Scotchcal Clear View Graphic Film 8150 -to its stable of sign vinyl products. Designed as a solution for window graphics which require clear vision through un-printed areas, 3M Scotchcal Clear View Graphic Film 8150 is suitable for glass and retail window designs, vehicle graphics and manifestation marking.
Trimwel has been supplying the signage trade in Ireland for over 25 years and the addition of 3M’s new graphic film to its product portfolio is an important step forward for the company as MD, Nick Little explained. “Most digital clear vinyl’s when applied to a window give the effect, from a distance that a graphic has been printed directly onto the window,” he said. ”However, as you get closer, it becomes obvious that it is printed on vinyl as it a slight tint and does not allow for a completely clear view. This is a major problem when you print graphics that have a gradation to the print or have clear cut out pieces. In many cases the printer has to cut out these. This problem is virtually eradicated with 3M Clear view as it is a highly transparent film that is virtually invisible on glass. One area where this product will work well is in airports that want to apply vinyl to walkways and will have people looking at the prints up close. It’s also a great product for retailers with large window space.”
