Cambridgeshire-based Ultraflex Europe is to sell Agfa large-format print engines, associated software and consumables.
The reseller – which has a 1672m2 warehouse in St Neots – has been supplying digital print media since 1994 and is a specialist supplier of media rolls up to 5m. It accelerated its growth when it acquired customer Mayday Graphic Products in 2020, which added self-adhesive vinyl products to its offering. The deal with Agfa extends its portfolio further.
Clint Green, MD of Ultraflex, said of the Agfa deal: “We have been distributors of print media over many years so this is a logical addition to our product portfolio, especially as Mayday Graphics had lots of experience in the supply of print engines. We wanted to move forward with an established brand name in the wide-format market, that we trust and have confidence to promote to our customers. Agfa offer us a range of hybrid, flatbed and roll-to-roll print engines that will suit different requirements and we know that Agfa are highly praised by their customer base. They also have an exceptional team of support engineers to assist with installation and are quick to call out to any follow up issues. We are delighted to have Agfa on board and innovative new complementary products to sell.”
Paul Fitch, head of inkjet at Agfa UK and Ireland, added: “Having a reseller with such a broad reach of contacts, especially across the south of England, will allow us to tap into a wider base of customers to talk about the Agfa brand. Ultraflex Europe is a very knowledgeable media supplier with a great reputation for quality products and technical expertise. I am looking forward to working with them and developing our business together.”
