Vigorous cuts production costs with Roland DG VersaCamm VPI-540
Vigorous Business Services has installed a Roland DG VersaCamm VPI-540 large-format printer to improve its overall production efficiency on print jobs which have to be cut and mounted. The Dublin company, run by Laura Brady, specialises in indoor retail work. Apart from improving production workflow the new printer will add increased capacity at the company that also has an Epson 1180 and an older HP5500.
Brady said both print quality and the fast, accurate cutting facilities on new machine were important factors in her investment. “Simply put the VersaCamm VPI-540 eliminates all that extra work using double sided tape, over laminating a print as well as trimming the mounted graphic. Now all I have to do is just get the base board die cut, print and cut on machine and mount the finished product.”
A number of other factors persuaded Brady to purchase the VPI-540 as she explained: “The VersaCamm VPI-540 has a nice compact footprint and also uses eco solvent inks which were an important factor due to the restricted production area here. However, the single most important element in our deliberations was the fact that Roland DG Ireland has a dedicated Irish service team here unlike a lot of other companies which outsource this service.”
