Window manifestations boost Redmond’s offering
With ten years experience in window graphics and large wall mural printing and application Redmond Signs, based in Parkwest, Dublin 12 has now positioned itself as a provider of innovative and unusual ‘window manifestations’ as an alternative to traditional window graphics.
Liam Redmond, managing director, explained: “We noticed that window manifestations have become more popular. The main reason is that a lot of offices are now using glass partitioning because it’s more contemporary and brighter, and the manifestations serve a few purposes here: they help to keep some privacy for the occupants; add a design element to the otherwise plain glazing; and add a safety element to the glazing by making it more visible, particularly in floor-to-ceiling partitions.”
The application of each window manifestations in itself is a vital part of the process and is probably the more difficult aspect of the service.
“Attention to detail is vital here, whether it involves cutting around the door handles on a glazed door or getting around plug sockets,” said Redmond. “We were recently asked by a client to come up with a solution for making a ‘chill out’ room more private as the window looked out on to a building site, but also to incorporate a mood design element. This was achieved by digitally printing a full-colour image on to an etched window film and applying on-site.”
